Because of the poor weather fishing today was confined to the inner lakes. Lough Ree International Pike Festival 2013

Hi lads, there are now 74 boats registered so we are very close to the cut off point. If we do get to that point it will mean that we will have approximately 160 anglers and based on that figure the following is the proposed prize list. If you want to enter then phone Dave Houghton on 071 9642743 ASAPOur prize list based on 160 anglers fishing for three-days at €100 entry fee The total monies consist of €3,000 sponsorship from Failte Ireland, 160 entry fees of €100 a grand total of €19,000…See More

"Hi Lads, as you know this year's competition is limited to 80 boats and as of this evening there are 42 fully paid up boats, so if you are thinking of entering then you probably need to do so soon. Entry forms, rules etc can be found at…"

Lough Ree International Pike Festival 17th - 19th 2013

Hi lads just to let you know that entries are now being taken for this years Lough Ree International Pike festival which will take place from the 17th to 19th April. Some of you may remember an Atlone based angler named Davey Gaffey, Davey was very involved in the setting up of the Lough Ree International Pike Festival but unfortunately shortly after last year's festival Davey passed away suddenly. To honour his contribution and memory the World Cup trophy is to be re-engraved and will now read Lough Ree International Pike Festival - World Cup - in memory of Davey Gaffey. …See More

Lough Ree International Pike Festival 2012

It has been decided that the overall winner of the festival will win the €3000 only and not the daily prize as well, this will have the effect of spreading the prize money out among more anglers as it will bring another angler into the prize fund. The closing date for entries is Tuesday 10th April though if there are special circumstances the chief steward may decide to take entries after this date.
